Floor-to-ceiling kitchen build — Mystic-painted maple perimeter, Wren-stained maple island.
Two-tone palette, one species. The soft-white Mystic perimeter and the warm-stained Wren island are both maple — the material stays consistent, the color does the work. It ties the room together without making either side fight for attention.
We ran the cabinets to 10 feet and stacked 2 feet of trim on top. That's what gives the kitchen its scale. The eye gets pulled up, the ceiling reads taller, and the upper cabinets become a built-in feature instead of dead space.
