I started in my grandfather's kitchen cabinet shop. That's where I learned the trade, and it's where I figured out two things about myself: I love the design side, and I love working with the people who are going to live in the kitchen when I'm done.
Architectural design pulled me in early. Kitchens gave me a way to do it for a living — and to do it alongside the homeowners, not at a distance from them. Over the years, I've spent a lot of hours at kitchen tables getting to know clients before a single cabinet gets ordered. A lot of those clients became friends. A few of them have great stories I still tell.

I had a couple of real mentors along the way who passed down what they knew about the trades. I try to do the same now.
My rule on every project is simple: loyalty and integrity come first, and I design every kitchen like it's going in my own house. I'll put in whatever hours it takes to get it to exactly what you pictured.
One more thing. It doesn't matter how big or small the project is. Every one gets treated the same.
